2、otalCO2emissionsand3%ofglobalenergyexpenditure.Inparticular,57%oftheenergyconsumptionoftheICTindustryisattributedtousersandnetworkdevicesinmobileandwirelessnetworks.Thesegreenhousegases(GHGs)makestheEarthwarm,however,withtoomuchGHGs,itcausesglobalclimatechange,becomingtheincreasinglyseriousenvi

3、ronmentalproblemaroundtheworld.Ontheotherhand,withtheubiquitousapplicationofmoderncellularandwirelesstechnology,notonlyvoiceservices,butalsowiththeincreasingdemandofhighspeeddatatransmission,theexplosivedevelopmentofInformationandCommunicationTechnology(ICT)hassignificantlyenlargedboththeenergy

4、demandsandtheCO2emissions,andconsequentlycontributestomaketheenergycrisisandglobalwarmingproblemsworse.So,besidesthemainfocusofresearchonachievinghighdatarateofcellularcommunication,wemustfindenergy-effectivesolutionstoestablishlimitsonoverallemissionsofGHGs.DefinitionofGreencellularcommunicati

5、on“GreenCellularcommunication”,inshort,standsforthecommunicationcausinglessenvironmentalpollution,mainlyintwoaspects:withlessradiation;lesspowerassumptionorlessgreenhousegasemission.GreencommunicationtechniquesVariousresearchstudiesfocusonsignificantoptimizationorevenreconstructionofalllayersan
