4、中有名篇《蟈蟈與蛐蛐》，從此嶄露頭角。他在短促的一生中留下不少著名的詩篇，如頌詩中的《夜鶯頌》《希臘古甕頌》《秋頌》《憂郁頌》，十四行詩《白天逝去了》等。他的詩想像豐富，絢麗多彩，詩中有畫，色彩感和立體感強(qiáng)，具有一種永恒的美，一如溫柔、清麗而又夢(mèng)幻般恬靜的月光，洋溢著進(jìn)步的自由精神和人類的崇高理想。他主張?jiān)娙艘浴懊赖膲?mèng)幻”“自由的想像”進(jìn)行創(chuàng)作，表現(xiàn)“永恒的美的世界”。他的詩對(duì)英國(guó)維多利亞時(shí)代的詩人、后來的唯美派詩人以及20世紀(jì)的意象派詩人都有很大影響。詩人25歲宏才初展時(shí)，就不幸與世長(zhǎng)辭。他留下的墓志銘是：“這里安息著一個(gè)把名字寫在水上的人?！盝ohnKeats’Lifesummito
