2、iontechniquehasbeenanurgentneedforthedevelopmentofstrategicreconnaissance,monitoring,earlywarningandprecisionbeatingweapon..Inrecentyears,SARhasbeenputintoapplicationsinmanyareasandSARcanbeusedintargetofinterestdetectionamongclutterbackground.Inthisdi
3、ssertation,themovingandstationarytargetacquisitionandrecognition,MSTARdatabaseandSandiadatabasehasbeenthorouglystudied.First,thedevelopmentofstatisticcharacteristicofSARimageandtargetdetectionbothathomeandabroadhasbeenanalyzedandcomprehended.Theproble
4、marisesthathowtodetecttargetsamongcomplexbackgroundinbigimages.Then,twodatabaseshavebeenusedinSARimagestatisticcharacteristicacquisition.OnthebasesofK-SandKLindexwecanfindhowtoaffectivelyacquirethestatisticalmodelindifferentbackground.Differentbackgro
5、undshavebeengivenfordifferentdistributions,includingGamma,Rician,K,LogNormal,G0andWeibulldistributions.Alsothelimitationsareputforward.Furthermore,CFARdetectionhasbeeninvestigatedonthebasisofstatistictheory.Theaffectofmresolutionandmodelmismatchondete
6、ctionperformancehasbeenmainlydiscussedandthethresholdvaluesarededucedforvariousstatisticmodels.Theperformanceandcharatersiticsofseveralbasicdetectorsareanalyzed.Atlast,inordertoacquirecompleteandreliabletargetinformationforlargeimageincomplexterrianan
7、davoidmissrate,weputforwardacompressperceptionbasedtargetdetectionalgorithm.Comparedwithcanonwaveletalgorithm,betterindexareabtained.ByputtingitintoapplicationofSAR-CFARfortargetdetection,wecaneffectivelyavoidmissdetectionandthetargetcompletenessacqui
