3、tudiespublishedbeforeMay2014inthePubMed,OVID,andEMBASEdatabases.Relativerisks(RRs)wereusedtoestimatetheassociationbetweenCIAandvarioussurvivaloutcomes,includingdisease-freesurvival(DFS)andoverallsurvival(OS).Results:Thismeta-analysisidentified13eligiblestudiesincluding5,513casesan
4、d2,008controlsforDFSand5eligiblestudiesincluding2,331casesand776controlsforOS.ResultsdemonstratedthatCIAisassociatedwithimprovedDFS(RR,0.67;95%CI,0.61-0.74;PG0.001)andOS(RR,0.60;95%CI,0.50-0.72;PG0.001).Insubgroupanalyses,CIAwasfoundtoaffectDFS(RR,0.73;95%CI,0.61-0.88;P=0.001)ines
5、trogenreceptor(ER)Ypositivepatients;however,similarresultswerenotobservedinER-negativepatients(forDFS:RR,0.97;95%CI,0.66-1.41;P=0.858).ParticipantswithCIAachievedasignificantlybetterprognosisthanparticipantswithoutCIA,irrespectiveofnodalstatus,chemotherapyregimen,endocrinetherapy,
6、orpublicationyear.Conclusions:Thismeta-analysisclarifiesthatCIAcontributestoimprovedprognosisinpremenopausalwomenwithER-positivebreastcancerandisatleastpartiallyresponsibleforthebenefitsofadjuvantchemotherapyinthesewomen,whichinducechemicalcastration.KeyWords:Chemotherapy-induceda
