2、o.lee@doosan.comAbstract:NewbladehasbeendevelopedinordertoapplytoDoosan3MWoffshorewindturbine,namedasTMTMWinDS3000.WinDS3000hasbeendesignedtomeettheIECClassIcondition.The3MWbladehasbeendesignedtohavethefeatureofslimexternalshapeandoptimizedstructurewithsparcap,shell,shearwebandso

3、on.SE1500,akindofhigh-performanceglassfiber,wasusedasreinforcingmaterialinordertofortifythebladestructure.Thebladewasmanufacturedusingvacuuminfusionprocesstoreduceporosityandincreasevolumefractionofthefiber.Thebladehassuccessfullypassedafull-scalebladestatictest.Duetooptimized-st

4、ructuraldesign,thebladeweighsmorelightly,approximately10tons,comparedwiththeconventionaltype.ThebladewillbeTMcommerciallyappliedtoWinDS3000bythemiddleof2010.1.IntroductionAsthewindpowermarketgrows,IPPcompanieswantmorepowerproductionfromagivenwindfarmarea.Asaresult,thecapacityofaw

5、indturbinegrowsupto6MW(rotordiameteris126m),andtheoffshorewindfarmisbeingconsideredinsteadoflimitedonshorewindsite.Astherecentgeneralwindturbinecapacityincreasesto2~3MWforbothonshoreandoffshore,therotordiameterofwindturbineincreasesmorethan80mapproximately,itmeansthatthebladeleng

6、thmustbeatleast39m.Therefore,theneedsoflargebladewhichcanbeadaptedtomulti-MWclasswindturbineincreases.Doosan,thelargestKoreanpowerfacilitymanufacturer,hasdevelopedthe3MWwindTMturbinenamedasWinDS3000sinceAugustof2006tomeettheneedsoflargeoffshoreTMwindturbines.Atthesametime,the3MWb

7、ladeofWinDS3000startedtobedeveloped.TM1)2.BasicspecificationsofWinDS3000TMThedevelopmentobjectivesofWinDS3000arelowCOEandhighRAMS(Reliability,Availability,Maintainability,andServiceability).TowithstandtheseverewindsituationslikeTMtyphoonwhichpassesannuallyKoreanpeninsula,WinDS300
