3、izing.Byconsideringthespecifictimingofevolutionaryeventsandtheroleofevolu-tionaryconstraint,researchersusingthephylogeneticapproachcangeneratenewpredictionsregardingmatingphenomenaandderivenewexplanationsforexistingevolutionarypsychologicalfindings.Especiallyusefulistheconcept

4、oftheadaptiveworkaround—anadaptationthatmanagesthemaladap-tiveelementsofapre-existingevolutionaryconstraint.Thecurrentrevieworganizes7featuresofhumanmatingintotheirphylogeneticcontextandpresentsevidencethat2adaptiveworkaroundsplayedacriticalroleasHomosapiens’smatingpsychologye
