2、LUAi—ping(呂愛平)ABSTRACTIntegrativemedicine(IM),usuallycalledintegratedtraditionalandWesternmedicineinChi-na.whichcameintobeinginthe1950sasanewformofmedicine,althoughisnowdevelopingquickly,Iittleisknownaboutitsstatusandexistingproblems.SOanationaIsurvey
3、inChinawasconductedthroughques_tionnairein2004byChineseAssociationofIntegrativeMedicinewiththesupportofStateAdministrationofTraditionaIOhineseMedicine(SATCM).Theresultsshowthat,ofalIthemedicaIprofessionalsinvestigatedinthissurvey.91.21%and93.52%respon
4、dentsrespectivelyfavoredIMasthebestdiagnosticandthera-peuticmethod.OfallthepatientswhooncewentthroughTCM,Westernmedicine(WM)andIMtherapies,68.85%.65.45%and712%respondentsrespectivelymostappreciatedIM,IMhospitalsandIMtherapeu-tictreatments.Mostofthe659
5、5respondentsheldthattheoptimalscientificresearchstrategyinTOMshouldbeintegratingmodernmedicalresearchmethod(n2380)ormodernscientificmethod(n=2920).How—ever,manyhospitalsexposedtheproblemsintheaspectsofgovernmentalsupportsandfundingsupports,hu-manresou
6、rces.anddomesticorinternationalacademicactivities.TheseresultsindicatedthatlMisthepa—tients'socialneedsanddoctors'aspirationinOhina.ForfurtherdevelopmentoflM.theenhancementofsci—entificresearchconstructionandassistancebypoliciesandfinancefromthegovern
