1、surficialsediments.Atthesametime,claymineralcompositionsofthesuspensionsfromboththeYangtseRiveandtheYellowRiverwereanalysedrespectivelyforcomparison.TheresultshowsthattheclaymineralcompositionofthestudyareaisconsistentwiththatofYellowRiversuspension.Clasticmineralsofthe30samplesarecharacterized
2、byhigherinstablemineralandflakymineral.Heavymineralscallbedividedintotwogroups,i.e.a(chǎn)nphibole-epidotegroupandflakymineral—autogeneticpyritegroup.Thetwogroupsoccurindifferentsedimentaryenvironments,incloserelationtotheYSCC,reflectingstrongerandweakerdynamicconditionsrespectively.Chemicalanalysisw

4、ma-MassSpectrometer.MajorelementK,F(xiàn)e,MgandAIshowpositivecorrelations.TransitionelementCr,Fe,Co,NiandZnshowevenbettercorrelation,whereasMn,CuandZrexhibitpoorcorrelationwithotherelements,revealingtheirspecifcgeochemicalcharacter.Wecomparedtheuppercontinentalcrust(UCC)normalizedREEpatternsbetweent
5、hesamplesandthesamplesfromYangtse●,’’4Rive,YellowRiverandotherriversaroundtheYellowSea.TheresultshowsthatUCC·normalizedREEpatternofsamplesfromthestudyareaismuchmoresimilartothatofYellowRiversediments,buttheabsoluteabundanceofREEinthestudyareaisslightlyhigherthanthatofYellowRiversedimentsprobabl
