4、ofthereinforcement,thecoverdepth,bardiameter,degreeofcorrosionandthesurfacecrackwidth.Theresultsindicatedthatpotentialrelationshipbetweenthecrackwidthandthebondstrength.Theresultsalsoshowedanincreaseinbondstrengthatthepointwhereinitialsurfacecrackingwasobservedforbarswithconfiningstirrups.Nosuc

6、esteelreinforcementandtheconcreteensuresthatreinforcedconcreteactsinacompositemanner.However,whencorrosionofthesteeloccursthiscompositeperformanceisadverselyaffected.Thisisduetotheformationofcorrosionproductsonthesteelsurface,whichaffectthebondbetweenthesteelandtheconcrete.Thedeteriorationofrei
