2、evicesformonitoringofbodilyfunctions.Forthesafetyofpatients,itisusedthesolidstatebatterieswhichhaveanumberofverydesirablefeatures.InthispaperarepresentedthemaincharacteristicsofAg/RbAg4I5/AgI3cell.INTRODUCTIONTheadvancesinbatterytechnology,electronicsandmedicalknowledgehaveproduc
3、edawidevarietyofsophisticatedimplantabledevicestotreatailmentsrangingfromirregularheartbeattopainandepilepsy.Alsoagreatdiversityofbatterypoweredexternaldevicesareusedtoadministerdrugs,treatailmentsandmonitorbodilyfunctions.Generally,forthesafetyofpatients,itisusedthesolidstatebat
4、terieswhichhaveanumberofverydesirablefeaturessuchasabsenceofanypossibleliquidleakageorgassingandthepossibilityofoperationoverawidetemperaturerange.ThebatterieswithRbAg4I5solidelectrolytearemakepartfromthesegalvaniccells.ThesolidelectrolyteRbAg4I5belongtothecompounds-groupofgenera
5、lformulaMAg4I5(whereM+=Rb+,K+,NH4+)havinganexceptionallyhighionicconductivity(about10-1S/cm)atroomtemperature.Thestructuresofthesesolidelectrolytesarenotclose-packed,butcontaintwo-orthreenetworksofpassagewaysintercalatedincrystallinestructures.ThecrystallographicstructureofRbAg4I
6、5wasdeterminedbyX-raydiffraction.TherearethreecrystallinemodificationsofRbAg4I5,labeledasthea,bandgphasesinorderofdecreasingtemperature.TheaformhasacubiccrystallatticeofP4132(O7)orP4332(O6)symmetry,bformhasarhombohedralcrystallatticeofR32(D37)symmetryandgmodificationhasahexagonal
7、structureoflossP321(D32)symmetry.Thehighconductivityisduetoacombinationofahighconcentrationofmobileionsandalowactivationenergyforionicmotionsfromsitetosite.Forthesematerialsthesilverionismobilespecieanditstransportintolatticetakesplacebyadefectmechanism[1-4].SOLIDSTATECELLSFORCAR
