3、tinglists.Abettersolutionisforausertospecifyafi'lterthatscansalllists,selectinginterestingdocumentsnomatterwhatlisttheyarein.Severalmailsystemssupportfilteringbasedonadocument'scontents[3,5,6,8].AbasictenetoftheTapestryworkisthatmoreeffectivefilteringcanbedonebyinvolv

4、inghumansinthefilteringprocess.Inadditiontocontent-basedfiltering,theTapestrysystemwasdesignedandbuilttosupportcoUaborativefi'ltering.Collaborativefilteringsimplymeansthatpeoplecollaboratetohelponeanotherperformfilteringbyrecordingtheirreactionstodocumentstheyread.Suc
