4、rtmentofEnergyandEnvironmentChalmersUniversityofTechnologyAbstractThisthesisdealswiththeanalysis,modeling,andcontrolofthedoubly-fedinductiongener-ator(DFIG)forwindturbines.Differentrotorcurrentcontrolmethodsareinvestigatedwiththeobjectiveofeliminatingthein
5、?uenceofthebackelectromotiveforce(EMF),whichisthatof,incontrolterminology,aloaddisturbance,ontherotorcurrent.ItisfoundthatthemethodthatutilizesbothfeedforwardofthebackEMFandso-called“activeresistance”managesbesttosuppressthein?uenceofthebackEMFontherotorcu
6、rrent,particularlywhenvoltagesagsoccur,oftheinvestigatedmethods.Thismethodalsohasthebeststabilityproperties.Inadditionitisfoundthatthismethodalsohasthebestrobustnesstoparameterdeviations.TheresponseoftheDFIGwindturbinesystemtogriddisturbancesissimulatedand
7、ver-i?edexperimentally.Avoltagesagto80%(80%remainingvoltage)ishandledverywell.Moreover,asecond-ordermodelforpredictionoftheresponseofsmallvoltagesagsoftheDFIGwindturbinesisderived,anditssimulatedperformanceissuccessfullyveri?edexper-imentally.Theenergyprod
8、uctionoftheDFIGwindturbineisinvestigatedandcomparedtothatofotherwindturbinesystems.TheresultfoundisthattheenergycaptureoftheDFIGwindtur-bineisalmostthesameasforanactivestall-controlled?xed-speed(usingtwo?xeds
