3、o-rybyLefebvre,historicaldistrictisasocialspaceshapedmainlybytraditionallivingstylesoflocalresi-dents.Elementsoflivingenvironment,suchassocialrelationship,localculture,anddailyactivitiesandsoon,togetherwithmaterialenvironmentareprimaryconstructorsofthesocialspaceofahistoricaldistrict.In-terac
4、tionsbetweentourismimpactsandresidents'habitusdominate,withlocalsocietybeinganadjuster,transformativeprocessofhistoricaldistrict'ssocialspace,thusthelivingenvironment.ThecasestudyofoSh-uangdongphistoricaldistrictinYangzhouprovesun-continuityandheterogeneityofeffectsoftourismdevel-opmentonlivi
5、ngenvironments.Accordingly,residentscanbeclusteredintothreegroupswithdifferentiatedperceptionsandattitudestowardstourismdevelopment.Effectsofsubjectivecharacteristicsondifferingthreegroupsfromeachotheraremeanerthanthatofobjectiveones,thatis,tourismfacilitiesandlocations.Meanwhile,toreactoninv
6、olvementoftourismdevelopmentinto"Shuangdong"livingenvironment,rear-rangementoftourismfacilitiesandtheirlocationsplayskeyroles.Itprovesthattourismdevelopmentcon-tributeslargelytopromotionoflocallivingenvironment;however,nurturingoShuangdongplivingenviron-mentistrappedbytwodilemmas:maintainingl
