1、ABSTRACTThisdissertationtakesacontinuousbridgeusingisolationbearingsasapracticalexample.Seismicresponseanalysesofisolatedbridgesusingdifferentseismicisolationschemesareconducted.Theresearchisproposedforengineeringdesignguidance.Themainworkisasfollows:(1)Ordinarysphericalsteelbearings,potrubberbea

2、rings,leadcorerubberbearingsandnonlineardampingspokeshockisolationsupportsareanalyzed.Thedissertationincludesthestructureforms,workingprinciplesandmechanicalmodelofthebearings.Theequivalentlinearizationanalyticalmodelofnonlineardampingspokeshockisolationsupportsisproposed.(2)Finiteelementmodelsof

3、isolatedcontinuousbridgesareestablished.Seismicresponseanalysesofthebridgesareconductedusingdynamictimehistoryanalysismethod.Theresearchincludestheresponsesofshearforceandbendingmomentatthepierfoot,beamdisplacementanddisplacementofpiertop.Theresultsshowthatthenaturalvibrationperiodsofthebridgeare

4、effectivelyenlarged.Meanwhile,thedisplacementsofbridgesareenlarged.Internalforcesofthebridgearereduced.Theisolationbearingscaneffectivelyreducetheductilitydemandofbridgepiersandalleviateseismicactionofbridgestructures.(3)Pilefoundationisusedinthebridgeengineering.Soilmediumhasimpactonseismicrespo

5、nsesofthebridgestructurethroughthepilefoundation.Thesoil-structureinteraction(SSI)hasbeenconsideredaccordingtoChinesecodes.SeismicresponseanalysesofthebridgewithSSIarecarriedon.Theresultshowsthatsoil-structureinteractionreducesseismicresponsesofbridgestructureswithalongernaturalvibrationperiod.Th
