4、abusearch,Taguchimethod,Simulatedannealing1IntroductionReal-worldproblemsaregenerallyassociatedwithdifferenttypesofuncertainties.Inthepast,considerableefforthasbeenmadetomodeltheseuncertainties.Priorto1965,itwasconsideredthatprobabilitytheoryworkingbasedonAristoteliantw

5、o-valuedlogicwasthesoleagentavailabletodealwithuncertainties.Thisparticularlogicusestheconceptoftheclassicalcrispset.Thatisasetwithafixedboundary.Prof.Zadehdevelopedtheconceptoffuzzysets,intheyear1965[1].Thosearethesetshavingthevagueboundaries.Hearguedthatprobabilitythe

6、orycanhandleonlyoneoutofseveraldifferenttypesofpossibleuncertainties.Thus,thereareuncertainties,whichcannotbedealtwithbyusingtheprobabilitytheory.Takinganexample,inwhichMr.XrequestsMr.Y,tobringsomeredapplesforhimfromthemarket.Therearetwouncertaintiesatleast,whichrelatet
