3、ndtreatment.Theprincipalobjectivesofthiscoursearetoprovideanintroductiontobasicconceptsandtechniquesformedicalimageprocessingandtopromoteinterestsforfurtherstudyandresearchinmedicalimagingprocessing.1.PRINCIPLESOFMAGNETICRESONANCEIMAGINGDuringthepastfewdecades,withtheincreasingavailabil

4、ityofrelativelyinexpensivecomputationalresources,computedtomography(CT),magneticresonanceimaging(MRI),dopplerultrasound,andvariousimagingtechniquesbasedonnuclearemission(PET(positronemissiontomography),SPECT(singlephotonemissioncomputedtomography),etc)haveallbeenvaluableadditionstothera

5、diologist’sarsenalofimagingtoolstowardevermorereliabledetectionanddiagnosisofdisease.Tomographicimagingprinciplesarerootedinphysics,mathematics,computerscience,andengineering.Here,wemainlyfocusontheconceptualoverviewoftheprinciplesofMRI,oneofthemajorimagingmodalitiescurrentlyinuse.Excel
