3、xperimentalstudies,andhencearelimitedinapplicationtosystemswhosedesignparametersaresimilartothoseusedinthetests.Asimpleandelegantapproach,presentedhere,revealsthatanincorrectchoiceofovervoltagelimitleadstotheselectionofanunsafelaterallength,resultinginapotentiallydangeroushigh

4、voltageacrosstheconnectedapparatusandprotectiveequipment.Generalisedmathematicalequationsaredevelopedtodeterminethesafelaterallengthasafunctionoftransformersizeforthepreventionoftheovervoltageproblemduetoopenconductorsinthree-phasesystems.Thecomputedresultsareingoodagreementwi
