4、elythecitiesofWesternEuropeandNorthAmerica,UrbanRevolution,2thesecondconstitutesanepicycleonthissecularand,toalesserextent,thoseofJapan.Theresultisthatthestudyofurbanprocesswhichwasinitiatedasrecentlyastheeighteenthcentury,whenthephenomenahasbeenconfinedverylarge
5、lytotheserealms,withonlyemergenceofmodernindustrialtechnologybegantoexacerbateinequalitiesoccasionaltentativeforaysintoperipheralterritories—whichmoreoftenintheincidenceofurbanismamongtheworld’spopulations.Now,whenthethannothavebeentheregionsofexportedEuropeancul
6、ture.Itfollowsthatrateofurbanizationinindustrialcommunitiesistendingtodeclineatthemostoftheformulationsandhypothesescurrentinurbanstudiesarebasedsametimeasitisacceleratinginmostunderdevelopedcountries,weareontheEuro-Americanexperience,andhavecomparativelyseldombe
