3、inOper-ationsResearchandManagementScience(OR/MS)journalsfrom1968to2006.TheimpactofOR/MSresearchinAsiaiscomparedwiththatoftheUnitedStatesandtheWorld,andresearchtrendsarehighlightedthroughananalysisofkeywords.From1968to2006,89,293paperswerepublishedin60OR/MSjournals.Ofthese
4、,41.4%camefromUSAand16.6%camefromsevenAsiancountries/regions.Thecontributionofdi?erentcountries/regionsisasfollows:Japan3.7%,Taiwan3.2%,India2.3%,HongKong2.2%,SouthKorea2.1%,People’sRepublicofChina(PRC)1.9%,andSingapore1.2%.Amongallthearticlesanalyzed,20%haveasingleauthor
5、,and9%havemorethanthreeauthors;additionally,22papershavebeencitedmorethan100timesand29%haveneverbeencited.MostarticlesoriginatinginJapan,Taiwan,India,SouthKorea,PRC,andSin-gaporeareproducedincollaborationwithlocalscholars,followedbyauthorsfromtheUnitedStates.HongKongisano
6、tableexception,73%ofarticlesfromHongKongareproducedincooperationwiththePRC,followedbylocalscholars.The?vemostproduc-tiveinstitutionsareasfollows:TheIndianInstituteofTechnology,theKoreaAdvancedInstituteofScienceandTechnology,theNationalUniversityofSingapore,TheHongKongPoly
