2、ceived13August2005;revised2September2005;accepted25November2005ABSTRACTThedisinfectingprocesshasbeenconsideredasoneofthemostimportantstepsindrinkingwatertreatmentandimproperattentiontothisprocesscancausedasocialdisaster.Untilnow,differentmethodshavebeenusedfordrinkingwaterdisinfection,
3、suchasusingtheultra-violetlightandaddingozoneorchloride.Becauseofthewatersourcescontaminations,especiallyinsurfacewaterwhichisinclosercontactwithdifferentpollutants,addingchloridetowater,generallyappliedallovertheworld,cancausesomeadverseimpactsontheresidentialuserssuchastheonescausedb
4、ychlorinatedchemicalsandTrihalomethanesasthesecondaryproducts.Regardingtohighlevelofelectricalenergyconsumptionandconsideringresultedcosts,thismethodhavenotbeendevelopedinIran.Thisstudyaimedtoexplainthedrinkingwaterozonationprocessopportunitiesandthreats.Usageofozoneisausefulandeffecti
5、vemethodandcouldberesultedinhighoxidizingproperty,notproducingcarcinogensandeliminatingbacteria,virusesandotherdisease-causingelements.Ontheotherhandmentionedmethodwillprocessinshortertimeincomparisonwithotherwatertreatmentmethods.Therearedifferenttechniquesforthestrategicmanagementasa
6、suitabletooltoconductrelatedenvironmentalmanagementplan.ThestudymanagementmethodologyisbasedonSWOT;soitdescribesthemanagementfunctionalstrategiesforozonationasasuitabledrinkingwatertreatmentmethod.Finally,usingtheQSPMmatrix,thehierarchicalpriorityofthesestrategieswasdefined.Itseemsquit
