3、tributionstoourunderstandingofthetransitiontoagriculture.Moreover,throughthesediscoverieswecanchallengethecommonviewofnorthChinaasahomogeneousareaofagriculturaldevelopment.ThroughtheintroductionoftheXinglongwa(ca:8000–6800B.P.)andtheZhaobaogou(ca:6800–6000
4、B.P.)cultures,theearliestsedentarysocietiesinnortheastChina,Iattempttoprogressbeyondgeneralizations,suchastheusefulmodeloftheChineseInteractionSphere,andexaminemorethoroughlythedevelopmentsinonesubregionofnorthChina.Thedatapresentedareusedtoaddressimportan
