5、),arare,aggressiveneoplasm,hasapoorprognosis.Inthisprospectivestudy,weevaluatedtheroleofmyeloablativechemotherapy,followedbyautologousstemcelltransplantinimprovingsurvivalinDSRCT.Afterhigh-doseinductionchemotherapyandsurgery,19patientswithchemoresponsiveDSRCT
6、underwentautologousstemcell22transplant.Myeloablativechemotherapyconsistedofcarboplatin(400–700mg/m/dayfor3days)+thiotepa(300mg/m/dayfor23days)±topotecan(2mg/m/dayfor5days).Allpatientswereengraftedandtherewasnotreatment-relatedmortality.Seventeenpatientsrecei
7、vedradiotherapytositesofpriororresidualdiseaseatamedianof12weeksaftertransplant.Five-yearevent-freeandoverallsurvivalwere11±7%and16±8%,respectively.Twopatientssurvivedisease-free16and19yearsaftertransplant(bothincompleteremissionbeforetransplant).14patientsha
