3、ecologicalandeconomicbenefits.AsthemainbodyoftheconstructionoftheCentralPlainsEconomicZone,itisarelativelyhighcarbonemissionsdistrictforalongtimeinHenanProvince,andmustdevelopforestrycarbonsequestrationtoreduceCO2emissionsowingtothepressurebythecurrentseverereductionssituation.Insuchabac
4、kground,basedonthetheoryofEcologicalEconomicsandSustainableForestryDevelopment,thisarticleanalyzedthestatusofforestrycarbonsequestrationinHenanProvincefromtheaspectsofforestresources,thelevelofthinkingandunderstanding,thepoliciesandregulations,andthemethodsofplantationforestsbycollecting
5、successiveforestinventorydata,ChinaStatisticalYearbookofForestryandfieldresearch;andnotedthatithasalargepotentialtodevelopforestrycarbonsequestrationinHenanProvince.Buttherearestillsomequestions,suchastheshortageofforestresourcesamounts,theirrationalityofforestresourcesstructure,severefo
6、restfiresandpests,supportcapabilitynotstrong,andthelowstandardofforestecologicalcompensationandthelackofpublicparticipationplatform.Finally,basedonthepreviousanalysis,itproposedsomesuggestionstospeedupthedevelopmentofforestcarbonsinksfromthemacroandmicroaspectsinHenanProvince.Atthemacrol
