3、ationwhereassignificantvariationofprevalencewithagewasobservedonlyinthecontrols.Thus,theCVLPincontrolsweresignificantlymoreabundantinchildrenover2yearsold(76%vs48%,P<.01)andmorefrequentlyobservedduringthemonthsofrainyseasons(75%vs54%,P<.02).Ontheotherhand,t
4、hehigherprevalenceofCVLPindiarrheicsover2yearsoldwasnotsignificant(48%vs36%,P=.20),whereasasignificantlylowerprevalenceofCVLPduringthemonthsofrainyseasonswasobservedinthisgroup(27%vs50%,P<.01).Studiesoftheclimatologicalfactorsinthisequatorialclimateshowedap
