4、ThegrowthdynamicsofrootsystemandabovegroundofthegraftedseedlingsofdifferentCamelliaoleiferacultivarsarestudiedbyskeletonmethodandrootscanning.Theresultsof8-months’observationongraftedseedlingsof5C.oleiferacultivarsshowedthat:thegrowthofaerialpartsandrootoftheC.oleiferaseedlingsw
5、erenotentirelyinsync,duringthetimeoflowtemperaturefromNovembertoFebruary,therootsystemstillinsustainedgrowththoughtheaerialpartsofthe5cultivarsgrewslowly.Remarkabledifferenceswereexistedinrootlength,rootsurfacearea,rootvolume,rootbiomassandotherindicatorsafter11-months’growth.Th
6、emeanvalueoftotallengthofroot-systemwasupto243.3cmand143.4cmfortheminimum,themeanvalueoftotalroot22surfaceareawasupto50.2cmand31.7cmfortheminimum,themeanvalueofrootvolumeoftheC.oleifera33seedlingswasupto0.843cmand0.578cmfortheminimumwhichlived11monthsaftergrafting.Alltherootleng
