3、e(CO2enrichment,nitrogendeposition,climate,bioticinvasionsandlanduse)causeextinctionsandalterspeciesdistributions,andrecentevidenceshowsthattheyexertpervasiveimpactsonvariousantagonisticandmutualisticinteractionsamongspecies.Inthisreview,wesynthesizedataf

4、rom688publishedstudiestoshowthatthesedriversoftenaltercompetitiveinteractionsamongplantsandanimals,exertmultitrophiceffectsonthedecomposerfoodweb,increaseintensityofpathogeninfection,weakenmutualismsinvolvingplants,andenhanceherbivorywhilehavingvariableef

5、fectsonpredation.ArecurrentfindingisthatthereissubstantialvariabilityamongstudiesinboththemagnitudeanddirectionofeffectsofanygivenGECdriveronanygiventypeofbioticinteraction.Further,weshowthathigherordereffectsamongmultipledriversactingsimultaneouslycreate

6、challengesinpredictingfutureresponsestoglobalenvironmentalchange,andthatextrapolatingthesecompleximpactsacrossentirenetworksofspeciesinteractionsyieldsunanticipatedeffectsonecosystems.Finally,weconcludethatinordertoreliablypredicttheeffectsofGEConcommunit
