2、rappliancesusedoncivilaircraftmustcomplywithwhenitispresentedforairworthinesscertification.MachMeters1.Purpose.ThisChinaCivilAviationTechnicalStandardOrder(CTSO)isformanufacturersofmachmeterapplyingforaCTSOauthorization(CTSOA).ThisCTSOprescribestheminimumperformancestandards(MPS)thatmac
3、hmetermustfirstmeetforapprovalandidentificationwiththeapplicableCTSOmarking.2.Applicability.ThisCTSOaffectsnewapplicationssubmittedafteritseffectivedate.MajordesignchangestoarticleapprovedunderthisCTSOwillrequireanewauthorizationinaccordancewithsection21.310ofCCAR-21R3.3.Requirements.Ne
4、wmodelsofmachmetersidentifiedandmanufacturedonoraftertheeffectivedateofthisCTSOmustmeettheMPSqualificationanddocumentationrequirementsinSAEInternational’sAerospaceStandard-1-CAACCTSO-C95a(AS)8018,“MinimumPerformanceStandardforMachMeters”,RevisionA,(September1,1996).a.Functionality.ThisC
5、TSO’sstandardsapplytoequipmentintendedtoindicatethemachnumber,whenconnectedtosourcesofstatic(Ps),andtotal(Pt),orimpact(Pt-Ps)pressure.ThisCTSOalsoincludesMPSforequipmentintendedtoperformthesamefunctionwhenconnectedtoelectricaloutputsofthesamesources.b.FailureConditionClassification.Fail
