4、arelacking,andontheother,long-termpoliciesaimedatimprovingflexibilityhavenotbeenperceivedasurgentlyimportantbypolicymakersintheearlyyearsoftransition,whenemploymentwashighduetogenerousstatesupportoflargefirms.Currentlytheissueofworkflexibilityhasbeenperceivedasadverset
5、othesocialandeconomicpoliciesoftheSocialDemocraticgovernment.NoattemptstoexaminetimebudgetsorhouseholdworkpatternshavebeenmadebytheCzechStatisticalOfficesince1989,andonlystandardvariablesconcerningworkcontractsaredescribedinLaborForceSurveys.Sociologicalsurveys,however
6、,canprovidesomedeeperinsight.Herewehavecollectedscarceavailableinformationwhichisindirectlyprovidedbythefeweconomicandsociologicalstudiesthatdealwithourthemes.Concretelyspeaking,wearedrawingonthreedifferentsourcesthatarepartiallyrelatedtoworkandhouseholdflexibility:lab
