5、ticanalysis:weneedednothingmorethantheweaklawoflargenumbers,thecentrallimittheorem,andthebasicalgebraofprobabilitylimits.Whenanestimationmethoddoesnotdeliverclosed-formsolutions,weneedtousemoreadvancedasymptotictheory.Inwhatfollows,‘‘nonlinear’’describes
6、anyprob-leminwhichtheestimatorscannotbeobtainedinclosedform.Thethreechaptersinthispartprovidethefoundationforasymptoticanalysisofmostnonlinearmodelsencounteredinapplicationswithcrosssectionorpaneldata.Wewillmakecertainassumptionsconcerningcontinuityanddi
