1、CulturalFactorsinEnglishTranslationAbstract:Languageisthebridgeorthetieofcommunication,itletpeopleorcountriesunderstandandcommunicatewitheachother.Wordsarethemostactivefactorsinalanguage.Theycanreflectsocialchanges,andhaveverystrongnationalcolorsandpersonalityofdifferentculture
2、s.Therefore,ontheonehand,translatorshouldreflecttheoriginalculturalbackgroundandculturalcolorsasfaithfullyaspossible;ontheotherhand,translatorshouldalsopayfullattentiontothereader’sacceptability.However,Englishtranslationisnotveryeasyifyouwanttoachieve“faithfulness,expressivene
3、ssandelegance”.BecauseofmanyfactorsinfluenceEnglishtranslation,andculturalfactorisoneofthem.ThispaperwilldiscusstheinfluenceofculturalfactorstoEnglishtranslation.Sevenpartsofculturalfactorswillbegiventodiscussit,suchas,geographicalenvironment,socialandhistoricaldifferences,reli
