3、ies·Firstly，thispaperchosesampledataof20propertyandcasualtyinsurancecompanicsfrom2004to2009．Technicalefficiencyandallocativeefficiencyofpropertyandcasualtyinsuranceindustryinourcountryareestimatedandcomparedbymeartsofstochasticfrontieranalysis．Theauthorfoundoutthattheefficiencyhasbeenimprovedyear
4、byyearduringtheobservationperiod．Intermsoftechnicalefficiency，Chinesecompaniesarebetterthanjointventureandforeigncompaniesbecauseofthescaleeffect．However，intermsofallocativeefficiency，jointventureandforeigncompaniesarebetterthanChinesecompanies，andthegrowthrateishigher，allofwhichshowthatJointvent
5、ureandforeigncompaniesarebetterthanChinesecompaniesoncontrollingcostandmanagementcapability．(thedifferenceofefficiencybetweenforeigncompaniesandChinesecompaniesarebiggerthanthedifferenceofoutputefficiencybetweenthemwhichindicatingthatforeigncompaniesaremoreabilitytocontrolcostandmanagethecompany．
