6、iesofthesefirmscontinuouslyevolveinunpredictableandoftendivergentways.Indeed,theprojectsthemselvescanberegardedasexperiments(numberingthousands)acrossdifferentorganisationsinspecificcircumstances,whichprovideopportunitiestodevelopanddeploynewknowledge.Inordertoenhan
7、cetheirprojectperformancecapabilities,professionalservicesfirmshaveinvestedheavilyinknowledgemanagementandknowledgemanagementsystems,includingsubstantialinvestmentsinsystemsinvolvingprojectdatabases,expertyellowpages,electroniccommunitiesofpractice,searchableproject
