4、herefore,thepresentstudymainlyfocusesonhowtheWechatsalesmenconstructtheiridentitiesthroughdiscursivepracticesintheMomentsofWechat,withthepurposeofprovidingabetterunderstandingofthewaysandunderlyingcausesofWechatsalesmen’sidentityconstruction,which,hopefully,canoffersomebeneficialenlightmentsfor
5、futureresearches.ThedatainthepresentstudyderivesfromtwentyWechatsalesmen,whichcontains827screenshotsaboutthediscursivepracticestheseWechatsalesmenpostintheMomentsofWechat.Basedonthedata,thepresentstudymainlyexploresthreeresearchquestions:(1)whatarethecharacteristicsofthediscursivepracticesWeCha
6、tsalesmenpostintheMomentsofWeChat?(2)WhatidentitiesdoWeChatsalesmenconstructthroughthesediscursivepracticesandhow?(3)WhydoWechatsalesmenmainlyconstructtheseidentitiesintheMomentsofWechat?Inordertoanswerthesequestions,thepresentstudyappliesKarenTracy’stheoryaboutidentityconstructionwhichmainlypr
