3、rld.Cyantraniliproleisanovelanthranilicdiamideinsecticideregisteredforthecontroloflepidopteranpests,butthereissparseinformationavailableregardingitseffectsonP.xylostella.Here,westudiedtheeffectsofcyantraniliproleonbiologicalcharacteristicsandtherelatedenzymeactivi
4、tiesofP.xylostella.【Methods】Theleaf-dippingmethodwasusedtotestthetoxicityofcyantraniliproletothe3rdinstarlarvaeofP.xylostella,andtheLC20andLC50valuesweredetermined.The3rdinstarlarvaeweretransferredontocabbageleavessoakedinLC20andLC50ofcyantraniliprolesolution[20%l
5、ethalconcentration(LC20)=0.03mg/Land50%lethalconcentration(LC50)=0.08mg/L]andallowedtofeedfor48h,thenthebiologicalcharacteristicssuchasthepupalduration,pupationrate,adultemergencerateandsoonwererecorded,andtherelatedenzymeactivitieswerealsomeasured.【Results】Theres
6、ultsshowedthattheestimatedLC20andLC50valuesofcyantraniliproleonthe3rdinstarlarvaeinleafdipbioassaywere0.03mg/Land0.08mg/L,respectively.CyantraniliproleatLC20andLC50concentrations(LC20=0.03mg/L,LC50=0.08mg/L)couldextendthedurationofthe4thinstarandpupalstage,andredu
7、cethepupalweightandfecundityofP.xylostella.Intreatedgroups,thepupationrate(F=42.19;df=2,6;P<0.05)andadultemergencerate(F=13.15;df=2,6;P=0.006)weresignificantlylowerthanthoseinthecontrolgroup,respectively.Cyantraniliproleexposurealsosignificantlyincreasedtheactivit
