2、studyofcurvedbridgesunderthree-dimensionalearthquakeexcitations.Andthemajorcontentisasfollows:Firstly,applytheProperOrthogonalDecompositionofthegroundmotionprocessesintheformofaspectralpropertransformation(SPT),andtheSPTofthe3-V1-Dgroundmotionprocessesateachpointofthespacedefines

3、anewsetofgroundmotionprocessescomponents,calledspectralpropercomponentsanduncorrelatedforanytimelag.Assuming,asseemsphysicallyreasonable,thatprincipalcomponentsuncorrelatedatonesinglepointremainuncorrelatedindifferentpoints,makesitpoffibletoobtainanewmodelofthetow-pointcoherencef

4、unctionofthedifferentseismicgroundmotionscomponentssoastocompletethestatisticalmodelofthe3-V,4-Dseismicgroundmotions.EmbeddingthespectralprincipalcomponentsinaMonteCarloframework,makesthismodelveryattractiveforthedigitalsimulationofseismicgroundmotion.Secondly,toincludethewarping

5、effectthecurvedbeamelementwitheightdegreesoffreedomisutilized.Theelementstiffnessmatrix,elementmassmatrixandseismicmassmatrixinthreedirectionsforbothgirderandpierelementshavebeenderived.Thebilateralcoupledrestoringforcemodelofleadrubberbearingsisintroduced,andtheelementstiffnessm

6、atrixforthebearingelementcanbederivedfromthismodelbytheRunge-Kuttamethod.Finally,MATLABprogramiscompiledtoconducttimehistoryanalysisofathree-span,continuouslycurvedgirderbridgeunderearthquake.Comparisonsaremadebetweenthree-dimensionalandsingle-dimensionalresponses.Itisshownthat:t
