3、ingtheutterance，thespeakerandthereporterintoconsideration，modifiesLangacker’Ssubjectivitywhichconfinestothesentence，andanalyzesshiftofperspectivefromtheutterancetothespeaker,andtothereporter,shiftofviewingstagebetweenonstageandoffstage，andtwodifferentviewingarrangement(optimalviewin
4、garrangementandegocentricviewingarrangement)．Theresearchfindsthattheconstrualofthereporterhasaninfluenceontheattitudeconstrual．Thecongtrualofdirectspeech，whentheidentityofreportersbeingdifferentfromparticipantsofthereportedevent，showsthatshiftofperspectiveleadstoshiftofviewingstagew
5、hichmakesobjectivelyconstruedutteranceonstage，subjectivelyconstruedthespeakerandthereporteroffstage，formingtheoptimalviewingarrangement．Thedisapprovalattitudeofthereporteristhereforeshownbecausethereporterbelievesthatthespeakergiveshissubjectiveclaimofutterance．However,intheconstrua
