4、undsintheformofrebates.Inanytypeofsupplyprocess,closed-looporopen-loop,multipledecisionmakerswithina?rmorindi?erent?rmsareinvolvedindecisionsconcerningthee?ciencyandthepro?tabilityofthesupplyprocess.Thedecisionmakers’decisionsinteractanddeterminethetotalsystemperformance.However,oftendeci

5、sionmakerspursuetheirownlocalobjectivesonly.Theclosureofthesupplychainexaggeratesthedependencybetweenthedecisionmakers’objectivesatasecondlevel.Considerthefollowingexample:Inadecentralizedsupplychain,boththewholesaleandtheretailpriceofaproductimpactthepro?ts,whichaccruetothemanufactureran
