3、ipleoftheseparationbetweenscientistsandthesubjectstheyexamine.Positivescienceislimitedbyacontexteffectso(interview,respondent,field,andsituationaleffects)whilereflex-ivescienceislimitedbyapowereffectso(domination,silencing,objectification,andnormalization).Thearticleconcludesbyconsideringtheimplica
4、tionsofhavingtwomodelsofscienceratherthanone,bothofwhicharenecessarilyflawed.ThroughoutIuseastudyofpostcolonialismtoillustrateboththevirtuesandtheshortcomingsoftheextendedcasemethod.Methodologycanonlybringusreflectiveunderstandingofthemeanswhichhavedemonstratedtheirvalueinpracticebyraisingthemtothe
