3、ctivelycontrollingtherotorspeed.Thisandtocomparethegeneratorsystemsforpitchcontrolandformeansthatifthewindspeedincreasestovaluesaboveactivespeedstallcontrol.Theideabehindtheactivespeedstallrated,thegeneratorreducestherotorspeedofthewindcontrolconceptistomakearotorthatisassimpleaspossible,tandthe
4、reforeveryrobustandsuitableforoffshorewindturbinesothatnotmorethanratedpowerisproduced.turbines.ThisisdonebyremovingthepitchcontroloftheItisnotnewtousewindturbineswithoutpitchcontrol.blades.Aboveratedwindspeed,thepowerisnotcontrolledbyUntilthelate1990s,manywindturbinemanufacturersbuiltcontrollin
5、gthepitch,butbycontrollingtherotorspeed:therotorconstantspeedwindturbineswithpowerlevelsbelow1.5speedissomuchreducedthattheaerodynamicpowerislimitedMWwithstallcontrol,whichmeansthatthebladescannottotheratedvalue.Arough10MIWpermanent-magnetdirect-.'drivegeneratordesignispresented,indicatingthatsu
