2、andlowfalserecognitionrate,irisrecognitionhasbeensuccessfullyappliedinmanyfields.Uptonow,mostoftheirisrecognitionsystemsarebasedonPC.However,aPCisnotportableanditneedsmorepower.Inthispaper,weproposedanembeddedirisrecognitionsystembasedonARM.Consideringtherequirementsofirisimageacquisitionandrecog
3、nitionalgorithm,weanalyzedthedesignmethodoftheirisimageacquisitionmodule,designedtheARMprocessingmoduleanditsperipherals,studiedtheLinuxplatformandtherecognitionalgorithmbasedonthisplatform,finallyactualizedthedesignmethodofARM-basedirisimagingandrecognitionsystem.ExperimentalresultsshowthattheAR
4、Mplatformweusedisfastenoughtoruntheirisrecognitionalgorithm,andthedatastreamcanflowsmoothlybetweenthecameraandtheARMchipbasedontheembeddedLinuxsystem.It’saneffectivemethodofusingARMtoactualizeportableembeddedirisrecognitionsystem.Keywords:Embeddedsystem,ARM,Linux,Imageacquisition,Irisrecognition1
5、INTRODUCTIONTraditionalwaysforpersonalidentificationdependonexternalthingssuchaskeys,passwords,etc.Butsuchthingsmaybelostorforgotten.Onepossiblewaytosolvetheseproblemsisthroughbiometrics,foreverypersonhashisspecial[1]biometricfeaturesdefinitely.Biometricsidentificationhasgainedincreasingattention
