2、ertiesinone-dimensional1Dandtwo-dimensional2Dspaces.ThecoefTcientofvolumecompressibilitymvandthesoilpermeabilitykareassumedtobelognormallydistributedrandomvariables.TherandomTeldsofmvandkaregeneratedbythelocalaveragesubdivisionmethodwhichfullytakesaccountofspatial
3、correlation,localaveraging,andcrosscorrelations.ThegeneratedrandomvariablesaremappedontoaTnite-elementmeshandMonteCarloTnite-elementsimulationsfollow.Theresultsofparametricstudiesarepresented,whichdescribetheeffectofthestandarddeviation,spatialcorrelationlength,andcrossco
