2、viaaverticalconvectiveself-assemblymethodwithanewtypeofmonodispersemicrospherepolymerizedbyco-monomers,namely,methylmethacrylate(MMA),N-isopropylacrylamide(NIPA),and3-acrylamidophenylboronicacid(AAPBA).TheOCPPChashighstabilityandperiodically-orderedstructure,showingthedesiredstructuralcolor.

3、TheproposedPCmaterialdisplaysaredshiftandreducedre?ectionintensitywhendetectingglucosemolecules.Thered-shiftwavelengthreaches75nm,whichclearlychangesthestructuralcolorfrombrilliantbluetoemeraldgreen.Thisvisuallydistinguishablecolorchangefacilitatesthedetectionoftheglucoseconcentrationsfrom3t

4、o20mM,whichdemonstratesthepotentialoftheopalPCmaterialfornaked-eyedetection.Thus,thenovelPMMA–NIPA–AAPBAOCPPCisasimplypreparedandsensitivematerial,whichshowspromisinguseinthediagnosisofdiabetesmellitusandinreal-timemonitoringofdiabetes.Differenttypesofappropriatedrecognitiongroupsareexpected

5、tobeintroducedintothe3DOCPPCtoformnewfunctionalmaterialsorchemicalsensors,whichwillextensivelybroadenthePCmaterialapplication.1.Introductionperiodicstructures.Thus,PCshaveattractedmuchinterestbecauseoftheirpromisingapplicationsinvariousTelds,suchPhotoniccrystals(PCs)areaclassoffunctionalmate
