3、in79–1146toprimaryfelinealveolarmacrophagesandhumanmonocytecelllineU937wasenhancedbytheseraofcatsexperimentallyinfectedwiththe79–1146strain,butnotthoseofcatsinfectedwithKU-2orUCD-1strainoftypeIFIPV.Theexperimentsusingseraofcatswithfelineinfectiousperitonit
4、is(FIP)andofcatsnaturallyinfectedwithfelinecoronavirus(FCoV)revealedthatinfectionoftheFIPV79–1146straintotheU937cellswasenhancedonlybytheseraofcatsinfectedwithtypeIIFIPVorfelineentericcoronavirus.Thesamplespositiveforantibody-dependentenhancement(ADE)activ
5、ityhadhighneutralizingantibodytitersagainsttheFIPV79–1146strainandthesamplesnegativeforADEactivityhadlowneutralizingantibodytiters.ThesefindingssupportthepreviousresultswhereamonoclonalantibodywithneutralizingactivityhadhighADEactivity,suggestingthattherew
6、asacloserelationshipbetweentheneutralizationandenhancementsites.AndthenitisalsosuggestedthatADEofinfectionislikelytobeinducedbyre-infectionwiththesameserotypeofvirusintypeIIFIPVinfection.Furthermore,U937cellsareconsideredusefulandcanbesubstitutedforthefeli
