5、ficiencyOfPSH(F/),themaximalphotochemicalefficiencyoflightadaptation(/F,),andpotentialactivityofPSlI(/F))weresignificantlydecreasedinboththeinfectedareaandthenon—infectedareaofthesameleaf,comparedwiththoseofthecontro1.TheseobservationssuggestthatthereactioncentersanddonorsidesofPSl1w
6、eresystemiclyinhibitedbyXanthomonasoryzaeinfection.FheinfectionwithXanthomonasoryzaecausedasignificax,tincreaseofnon—photochemicalquenchingcoefficient(NPQandqN)andquantumyieldofregulatedenergydissipation~-Y(NPQ)]butcausedadecreaseofthequantumyieldofnon-regulatedenergydissipation[y(N0
7、)].Theseobervationssuggestthatthepathogeninfectioncausedasystemicenhancementoftheenergydissipationintheformofthermaloflightenergyandtheprotectioncapabilityoflightreaction.AlloftheseresultsindicatedthattheinfectionwithXanthomonasoryzaehadasystemicimpactonchlorophyllfluorescencecharact
