2、sthatwillapplytoNSDdancecompetitions.ThisdocumentcoverstherulestobefollowedforofficiallyapprovedNSDcompetitions.ItspurposeistopromotealevelofhighqualitydancecontestsandguaranteethateveryefforthasbeenmadetoestablishfairnessandequityinNSDcompetitions.I.OFFICIALAPPROVALA.InordertoobtainNSDappr
3、ovalforConventionandinter-chapterNSDonlyevents,theContestChairofthehostingchaptermustsubmittotheDanceRulesCommitteeinthepersonofitsChairastatementsettingforththecontestsforwhichOfficialApprovalisdesiredandthedetailsthereof,confirmingconformancetotherulescontainedhereinafter.InternationalLat
4、inmaybeexcludedfromthecompetitionsofferedatConventionwithoutjeopardizingOfficialApproval.1.TheonlyeventsforwhichOfficialApprovalisrequiredarethoseheldattheannualStateConvention.Allothers(CoronationBalls,BoardofDirectorsBall,weekendcompetitions,etc.)mayseekOfficialApprovaliftheysodesire.B.Sa
5、idStatementofConformancemuststatestyle(s),dance(s),tempi,dress,judges,andcontestanteligibilityforeachcontestforwhichOfficialApprovalisdesired.C.ThisStatementmustbesubmittedaminimumof45dayspriortotheevent.TheDanceRulesChairmustrespondwithin14daysofreceiptoftheStatement.D.TheChairisinstructed
6、toreviewStatementsinthenameoftheCommitteeandissuewrittenapprovalordenialwithinthestated14-dayperiod,andisresponsiblesolelytotheCommitteeincaseofclaimoferror.TheChairmaydelegatethistaskathis/herdiscretionbutretainsfullresponsibilityforitsexecution.E.Theoriginalcontestresults,pre-registration
7、formsandjudges’marksshallbeforwardedtotheDanceRulesCommitteeChairasspecifiedinthewrittenstatementgrantingOfficialApproval.AnychallengetoscoringinaConventioncompetitionmustbepresentedtotheStateChairinwritingpostmarkedwithin30daysoftheeventforconsideration
