4、steelrebarsweresubjectedtohightemperaturestoinvestigatethefireperformanceofthesematerials.Itisaimedtodeterminetheremainingmechanicalpropertiesofsteelrebarsafterelevatedtemperatures.Steelsweresubjectedto20,100,200,300,500,800,and950°Ctemperaturesfor3hoursandtensiletest
5、swerecarriedout.EffectoftemperatureonmechanicalbehaviorofS220andS420weredetermined.Allmechanicalpropertieswerereducedduetothetemperatureincreaseofthesteelrebars.ItisseenthatmechanicalpropertiesofS420steelwasinfluencedmorethanS220steelatelevatedtemperatures.1.Introduct
6、ionFireremainsoneoftheseriouspotentialriskstomostbuildingsandstructures.Sinceconcreteiswidelyusedinconstruction,researchonfireresistanceofconcretebecomesmoreandmoreimportant.Manyresearchersallovertheworldhavedonesomeresearchesonthissubject.Themechanicalpropertiesofall
7、commonbuildingmaterialsdecreasewithelevationoftemperature.Thebehaviorofareinforcedconcretestructureinfireconditionsisgovernedbythepropertiesoftheconstituentmaterials,concrete,andsteel,athightemperature.Bothconcreteandsteelundergoconsiderablechangeintheirstrength,physi
