7、代英語(yǔ)，尤其是美國(guó)英語(yǔ)最大變化之一是委婉語(yǔ)的使用再度成為時(shí)尚。這一現(xiàn)象在英語(yǔ)新聞中的表現(xiàn)尤為明顯。委婉語(yǔ)是是新聞?dòng)⒄Z(yǔ)中非常普遍的現(xiàn)象。它的使用總可以給新聞帶來(lái)獨(dú)特的語(yǔ)言效果，是新聞?dòng)⒄Z(yǔ)中不可或缺的一部分。真實(shí)，準(zhǔn)確，及時(shí)是新聞?wù)Z言的最基本要求。然而，委婉語(yǔ)以閃避為主要目的，表現(xiàn)出的是禮貌閃避和文明教養(yǎng)。委婉語(yǔ)具有對(duì)直言加以美化，弱化，曲折化的作用，許多委婉語(yǔ)在外延內(nèi)涵上與直言差異很大。本論文主要從新聞?dòng)⒄Z(yǔ)中委婉語(yǔ)的使用及其它的分類和功能來(lái)分析新聞?dòng)⒄Z(yǔ)中委婉語(yǔ)產(chǎn)生的原因。新聞?dòng)⒄Z(yǔ)中委婉語(yǔ)所表達(dá)的不僅僅是作者的意圖，還可能傳遞社會(huì)意義和文化內(nèi)
