2、eimportanceoftheinstructionofEnglishreading.Inforeignlanguageteaching,readingplaysanimportantroleinmasteringthelanguage,obtaininginformationandimprovinglanguagecompetence.Itsimportancehasbeenprovedbydifferentgradesoflanguagecurriculumdesignandtest.WiththedevelopmentofseniorEnglishreadingteac
3、hing,theteachershavetorealizethatitisnotenoughtoteachstudentsonlylanguageknowledge.ThoughreadingplaysanactiveandimportantpartinEnglishteaching,thepresentsituationisnotsatisfied.Byanalyzingtheproblemsandweaknessoftraditionalreadingteachingmethod,thispapersuggeststhatiftheywanttoimprovetheeffe
4、ctofEnglishteaching,theteachersshouldunderstandtheconceptofeffectiveteachingandlearning.TeachersplayanimportantroleinEnglishreadingteaching,thispaperalsoprovidessomesuggestionsaboutwhatanEnglishteachercandoduringthereadingteaching:teachersshouldcontinuetheirguidingrole;helpstudentsraisegoodr
