4、butnottotheaimsandmethodsofthem.Whenpeoplereadorheardsomething,frequently,theyjustpassivelyacceptedtheproducer’sideasorbeliefswithoutrethinkingaboutthem.Questionsuchas‘isitreallytrue?’and‘whydidheorsheexpressthatkindofview?’werehardlynoticedbyus.Thusthetheoryof
5、CDAintendstoraiseandfosterpeople’scriticalawareness,helpthemcultivatetheirsensitivitytothecontrollingpowerofthediscourseoverthemanddeveloptheircriticalreadingorlisteningability.CriticalDiscourseAnalysis(CDA)hasbeenusedtoanalysethepoliticalspeechrecently,andhasb
6、ecomealmostastandardapproach.CDAdiscoversandbearswitnesstounequalrelationofpowerwhichishidinginwaysofspeakinginreproducingorchallengingsociopoliticaldominance.TheaimofCDAistohelppeopleclearingtheideologies.WodaksaidthatthepurposeofCDAistomaketransparentthestruc
