2、d/ScholarlyClinician·LeaderChangeAgentTheProfessionalDevelopmentEvaluationisatooldesignedtoassisttheMOTstudentindevelopingprofessionalbehaviorswhichareconsistentwiththeseoutcomesandrequirementsofapracticingoccupationaltherapist.Whilethegraduateisthesumtotalofallofhis
3、/herexperiences,knowledge,andtraining,thePDEassistsinidentifyingimportantbuildingblockstowardachievementofthedesiredcurriculumoutcomes.Thestudentisresponsibleforprovidingevidenceofspecifiedbehaviorsanddocumentingtheseinaportfoliowhichispresentedtothefacultyadvisorand
4、/orfacultypanelatspecifiedtimesinthecurriculum.Thestudentisencouragedtocontinuedocumentationofhis/herprofessionalgrowthanddevelopmentasaccountabilityisrequiredforNBCOTcertificationandforlicensurerenewal.ProceduralGuidelinesandTimelineSemesterOne:IntroductiontothePDES
5、tudentsareencouragedtomeetwiththeirfacultyadvisorearlyinthesemestertodiscussgeneralquestionsregardingthePDEprocess.MOTstudentswillreceiveacopyofthePDEintheirLeadershipIcourseandbegincollectingthedocumentationoftherequiredbehaviorsduringSemesterOne.Thestudent’scopyoft
6、hePDEwillbekeptintheLeadershipPortfolio,alongwiththeevidencesupportingthedocument.TheFacultyAdvisorisavailableasneededforindividualmeetingsregardingprofessionalissues.Mid-SemesterTwo:FallReviewTheMOTstudentwillmeetwithhis/heradvisorandanotherfacultymemberandpresentev
7、idencethatBasicProfessionalBehaviorCriteriahavebeenachievedandthatIntermediateProfessionalBehaviorCriteriaarebeingacquired.Thestudentbringstheportfoliotoascheduled50-minutesessionandreceivesfeedbackonprogressfromtheadvisorandanotherfacultymember.IftheBasicbehaviorsha
8、venotbeenfullymetoradiscrepancyarisesbetweentheevidencethestudenthasprovidedandthecollectiveobservationsofthefaculty,thestudentwill
